Executive Director

Nick York is an entrepreneur and strategic advisor with experience spanning startups, Fortune 500 companies, universities, and national nonprofits. Before focusing on his entrepreneurial ventures, he spent two decades in law with leading firms in Cleveland, Chicago, and Columbus, and has since served as owner, investor, and CEO across several companies, including Transom Group. Passionate about helping people and organizations reach their potential, Nick has held leadership roles with the University of Akron, the National Small Business Association, and the Council of Smaller Enterprises. He also co-founded the Mindful Nation Foundation to advance cognitive science–based programs improving the lives of veterans, educators, and healthcare professionals. A lifelong learner and sports fan, Nick finds his greatest joy in his wife Karry and their four children - Alex, Sophie, Edgars, and Ryan.

Bobby Kovey is a seasoned business development and government relations consultant with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. As President and Co-Founder of the Ohio Innovation and Technology Association (OITA), he works with the Executive Director and Advisory Board to shape the organization’s strategic vision, public outreach, and technology policy initiatives. Bobby also serves as Managing Director of The Credo Company, a government relations and market development firm he founded to advance business growth and public-private partnerships. A graduate of The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business, he also holds executive certificates from Catholic University and the University of Notre Dame. Residing in Old Clintonville with his family, Bobby enjoys time with loved ones, classic films, cigars, and cheering on the Buckeyes, Fighting Irish, and Cleveland Guardians.

Jennifer Flatter is an experienced government relations professional specializing in state associations, nonprofits, and businesses. As Executive Director of the Ohio Innovation and Technology Association, she leads efforts to connect technology, policy, and innovation across the state. With nearly two decades in government affairs and event management, Jennifer founded JLF Advisors in 2022 after serving as CEO of Impact Ohio, where she built a respected statewide conference series uniting leaders in government, business, and the nonprofit sector. She previously held roles with the Ohio Department of Commerce and the Ohio Senate and has been recognized with the Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 award. A graduate of Capital University with a master’s in Public Administration from Ohio University, Jennifer lives in Upper Arlington with her husband, daughter, and rescued greyhound.
