Ohio IT Alliance
The Ohio’s IT Alliance, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 that was formed in 2000 to focus on economic development in the IT industry in Ohio. During this time period the organization has generated over $10,000,000 in grants and earned revenue and its development partner organizations have raised in excess of $50,000,000.
Through its investments in the state of Ohio and with its partner network, the organization has contributed significantly to adding to employment and sales revenue during the past 8 years by providing business assistance to early stage companies including direct consulting and investment fundraising. The organization was also an early stage and original funding partner in both Jumpstart in Cleveland and the Business Technology Center now known as TechColumbus.
With a statewide CIO network of over 300 participants, Ohio IT Alliance is tapped into the business community and its IT needs. As a key driver to the state’s economic development goals, we are pursuing new partnerships and strategies to tackle the need to grow statewide employment in all technology fields, in particular Information Technology.
To do this, the organization is focusing on initiatives focused on placing University and Community College interns into the private sector, bringing new investment from outside the state to help facilitate job creation and Green IT initiatives.
As we pursue these business lines and programs, the organization will continue working with its current partners and forge new alliances to leverage statewide connections and assets to get the most out our human and financial resources.
